Mrs. Keylon’s 7th and 8th grade students are learning how to grow lettuce in this hydroponics lab. They planted seeds on August 28, saw them sprout 3 days later, and finally the plants were big enough on September 6 to transplant into the water. We will be eating salads before you know it!

Fifth Grade is studying The Engineering Design Process. Students planned and designed a bridge made from pasta and then tested their designs to see if they were successful! Great work, Minks!

While studying energy transfer due to radiation, conduction, and convection, our 6th grade classes made solar ovens. These used radiation from the sun to cook s'mores. Thank you, Mrs. Weatherspoon, for an outstanding learning experience!
