The McMinn County High School Sports Hall of Fame is an organization established to honor outstanding sports figures. Annually the Committee will consider new members to join the Hall of Fame. The public is encouraged to submit nominations by completing the nomination form in full and mail it with the candidate’s accomplishments to : McMinn County High School Sports Hall of Fame, 1522 Congress Parkway, Athens, TN 37303. Those elected to the Hall of Fame will be honored and their picture will be displayed on the MCHS Sports Hall of Fame wall.

The established criterion for selection to the Hall of Fame is:

• The candidate should be an outstanding contributor to MCHS athletics, whether it is a participant, coach, official, administrator, promoter or person otherwise involved.

• The candidate should be of good moral character, integrity, and citizenship during and after participation.

• The candidate does not have to be a resident of McMinnn County at the time of nomination.

• The candidate notoriety of success must have been accomplished at MCHS, with a degree of consideration given to accomplishments afterwards.

• Candidates may be nominated and elected posthumously.

• In case of the athletic, he/she must have graduated from MCHS for atleast 10 years.
